MacroCoach — Terms of Service

By accessing or using MacroCoach ("the app", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

MacroCoach is a personal nutrition tracking tool that lets you log meals and weight, track calories and macros, and observe trends over time. The app is provided as observability software; it does not provide medical, nutritional, or fitness advice, diagnoses, or treatment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use MacroCoach. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (your Google sign-in).
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate profile information and to keep it current.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law.
• Use automated tools to interact with the app in ways that could disrupt the service for other users.

5. Not medical advice

MacroCoach is not a medical device. The information it surfaces — calorie targets, macro targets, weight trends, and nutrition observations — is informational only and is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or fitness advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, weight, or exercise routine.

6. Your data

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You retain ownership of the data you log; you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the app for you.

7. Availability

We aim to keep MacroCoach available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

MacroCoach is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the app.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that harms other users or the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
